About the Position The Vice President of Programming is a key executive leader responsible for overseeing and driving the strategic planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of all programs and initiatives within the organization. Duties and Responsibilities · Develop and execute a comprehensive program strategy that aligns with the organization's mission and goals and provides excellent service to the community we serve. · Oversee, develop, and support the program leaders responsible for Urban Ventures’ existing programs (currently numbering over 12), striving for performance and financial results as established for each program. · Lead the design, planning, and implementation of new programs, ensuring they meet identified needs and are scalable and sustainable. · Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess program effectiveness, regularly evaluating and adjusting programs to optimize outcomes. · Mentor and manage a high-performing team of program managers fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability. · Serve on the Senior Leadership Team, along with the CEO, Vice President of Finance & Operations, and Vice President of Advancement, to maintain progress on Urban Ventures’ vision, mission, and values and to ensure that internal procedures and policies contribute to outstanding service to our community, meet revenue and expense balance, and promote employee growth and satisfaction. · Prepare and deliver regular program updates to the Board of Directors. · Participate in fundraising efforts. · Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, the community, and other stakeholders, and represent the organization at various events and meetings throughout the community. Qualifications · A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required; a Master's degree in a related field is highly preferred. · Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in program management, including at least 3 years in a senior management role. · Proven ability to develop and implement strategic program plans that drive organizational goals and impact. · Strong leadership and team-building skills with experience in managing and motivating diverse teams. · Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred. · Demonstrated experience in budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation within a nonprofit or similarly sized for-profit organization. · Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders. This person will be responsible for implementing business and communications strategies to increase the amount of high-quality computer donations from businesses for refurbishing and recycling. The Business Development Manager will set measurable goals, prioritize tasks, and focus on building strong relationships with donors.
