- State of Minnesota Office of Broadband Development: Reduced rates for broadband service - Information on how to get reduced rates for broadband service from Comcast, Charter and Midco. Not all companies serve all areas of Minnesota.
- Affordable Connectivity Program - The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a U.S. government program run by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program to help low-income households pay for internet service and connected devices like a laptop or tablet.
- PCs for People: Purchase Low-Cost Internet - This not-for-profit organization provides prepaid high-speed internet service and other technology for eligible customers.
- Free Xfinity WiFi from Comcast - Xfinity has announced free Internet access through their WiFi hotspots nationwide. A map of hotspots is available at: http://www.xfinity.com/wifi. When at a hotspot, just select “xfinitywifi” in the list of available connections and then launch a browser. - Spectrum Internet Assist from Charter Communications - Reduced-cost home internet service from Spectrum is available for qualified households. Charter is also offering free broadband for 60 days for new households with K–12 and college students.
- Midco Lifeline - Midco Lifeline is federal program that provides affordable home phone or internet access for qualified lower-income families.
- PCs for People: Purchase Low-Cost Internet - This not-for-profit organization provides prepaid high-speed internet service and other technology for eligible customers.
- Internet Essentials - Internet Essentials is a special program sponsored by Comcast. It provides affordable high-speed Internet for low-income households. You may qualify if you are eligible for public assistance programs such as the National School Lunch Program, Housing Assistance, Medicaid, SNAP, SSI, and others. New customers will receive two months of free service due to the coronavirus.
