ILCM is here for immigrant victims of domestic violence. Call us at 1-800-223-1368 if you have questions about your immigration status.

The Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota (ILCM) is a nonprofit organization that provides free immigration legal representation to low-income immigrants and refugees in Minnesota and North Dakota. ILCM provides services based on our capacity. ILCM has a generally high demand for services. Unfortunately, we may not always be able to assist someone. In uncertain times, knowing your rights is crucial—especially for individuals affected by immigration policies and enforcement actions. The Know Your Rights Card is a printable resource designed to help immigrants understand and assert their legal rights in encounters with law enforcement or immigration officials.

This card provides:

✅ Clear guidance on what to say (and not say) if approached by ICE or law enforcement
✅ Legal protections regardless of immigration status
✅ Instructions on how to exercise your right to remain silent and request legal representation

We encourage everyone, especially those in immigrant communities, to print and carry a copy of this card. Staying informed and prepared can make a critical difference in difficult situations.

In light of recent executive orders and policy changes, many advocacy groups are still in a reactive phase, working to understand and address the shifting landscape. Unfortunately, this means that up-to-date resources are still limited. However, there are existing organizations in Minnesota that continue to provide crucial support for LGBTQ+ individuals facing uncertainty.
Below are some resources that may be helpful for clients dealing with mental health concerns, legal advocacy, or community support:
🔹 LGBTQ+ Mental Health Resources | The Trevor Project
A national organization providing crisis support, mental health resources, and advocacy for LGBTQ+ youth. Their trained counselors are available 24/7 via phone, text, and chat.
🔹 About Us | OutFront Minnesota
Minnesota’s leading LGBTQ+ advocacy organization, offering legal support, education, and community programs. They work to protect rights, challenge discrimination, and provide direct assistance to those in need.
As we continue to monitor the evolving situation, we encourage anyone in need of support to reach out to these organizations and stay connected with trusted community networks. If you come across additional resources that could benefit others, please let us know—we’re all in this together.

Rainbow Wardrobe: Gender-Affirming Care for All

The Rainbow Wardrobe is a community service dedicated to providing free gender-affirming care in a welcoming, private, and supportive environment. We offer a space where LGBTQ+ individuals can try on clothing that affirms their gender identity, without the discomfort or anxiety they might face in traditional retail settings.

All items in our wardrobe, including clothing, chest binders, tucking underwear, and packers, are available at no cost to our clients. Our mission is simple: to empower everyone to live their most authentic life by dressing in a way that truly reflects who they are.

At the Rainbow Wardrobe, we believe that clothing expression exists outside the gender binary. Choosing clothes that align with your identity is a universal act of self-expression—and for LGBTQ+ individuals, it can be a powerful form of gender-affirming care. By reframing gender-affirming care in this way, we aim to destigmatize it and celebrate self-expression as a vital part of every person’s journey.

Whether you’re exploring your identity or simply need a safe place to find clothing that feels right for you, the Rainbow Wardrobe is here to help.
