Community Guidelines

Dress for Success Twin Cities is dedicated to providing safe spaces to network and learn in a community of women advancing their careers. To accomplish this, we ask all clients, staff, and  volunteers to engage based on the following guidelines:
  • Show Up on Time: Be sure to arrive on time or a little early. Our online facilitators stop admitting guests 10 minutes after the starting time to ensure the event is not interrupted.
  • Share Your Time and Talent - Participate: If you’re new, say hello! If you see someone who is new, welcome them and introduce them to someone else they should meet. If you are benefiting from content shared, say so in a comment. And if there is something you need but don’t yet see, let us know.
  • Recognize Challenges but Look for Solutions: We know that it is much harder for women to find jobs than men and when women do find jobs, they continue to face gender-specific challenges. This space will offer candid discussions and insights on these challenges, but we’ll also explore why these challenges exist, why they should be solved and how women can succeed in spite of them. We encourage you to take the same approach to your conversation and contributions.
  • Show Respect: The experiences and voice of every participant are what will make this community an important part of Dress for Success’ work to move forward. As women share their ideas and personal information, treat them with kindness, validate their experiences, and celebrate their wins.
This community and all resources and opportunities shared will always be free to access for anyone living and working as a woman. While we encourage members to share information about products, tools, and resources they find helpful in navigating the world of work, please do not directly solicit members to purchase or take part in any promotional offerings or engagements. And while we encourage members to share information about nonprofit and community organizations doing good work, please do not directly solicit members for financial support.Should a post not follow the spirit of these guidelines, a member of our team may remove posts at our discretion, with the intent to create and maintain this space as a safe and solutions-oriented community.
