North Minneapolis Pet Resource Center

North Minneapolis Pet Resource Center is focused on keeping families and their pets together.
At North Minneapolis Pet Resource Center we believe that access to pet food and supplies should not prevent someone from having the companionship of a pet. Our program supports community members experiencing financial stress without income or residency requirements and our team of community based volunteers are able to supply our neighbors with pet food, supplies and resources.

Frequently Asked Questions:

The appointments are all booked up - can I walk in?
Yes, we accept walk-in visits as time and supply capacity allows. Please note that you may need to wait patiently to be seen.
We cut off walk-in visits 30 minutes before we close.
Is there a cost to use your program?
This program is run on donations and we suggest that you make a donation that fits your budget each visit. This donation helps keep our doors open and our shelves stocked.
How often can I pick up pet food & supplies?
You can visit NMPRC once a month for pet food and supplies for as long as you need support. We do our best to provide you with a month’s supply of pet food - however, we recognize that you may need to supplement what is provided - on your own.
What happens during an appointment?
Our team will meet with you to discuss your pet’s needs every time you visit. We believe that the best way to make sure we’re supporting you & your pets is to have a quick check-in to see if anything has changed or if there are any additional support services we can provide.
What do I need to bring with me to my appointment?
We support community members with pets regardless of income or residency. There is no need to bring anything with you to qualify for our services.
Can I bring my pet to my appointment?
Well behaved pets on a leash are welcome in our space.
Do you offer a delivery option?
Yes, If you are a North Minneapolis resident and have barriers to picking up supplies please call or text us at 763-273-0710 or email us at [email protected] to schedule a delivery.
Can I adopt a pet or surrender a pet to you?
No, we are not a rescue organization. We recommend searching our Community Partner Databasefor an organization close to you.
Do you know of additional pet resources in the area?
Yes! Check out our Twin Cities Pet Resource Guide and our Pet Support Resources page.
Do you accept donations?
Yes! We accept unopened & not expired pet food. We also accept new & gently used pet supplies. Donations can be dropped off during our hours of operation & dropped off in our donation bin - located in the parking lot.
