Meet Our Presenters

Neighborhood Development Center: NDC  a non-profit organization that offers training, lending and technical assistance to inner-city entrepreneurs in Saint Paul and Minneapolis. NDC’s mission is to improve neighborhood economies by developing the talents of micro-entrepreneurs within their own communities. NDC has trained more than 6,000 people to date. They currently have nearly 650 alumni in business. NDC provides Entrepreneurship Training, Business Loans, Business Services, Incubators and Real Estate.

Tashie George  is the Founder and CEO of IFRI and IFRI-TRYV, a Liberian-American entrepreneur, economic development leader, and advocate for BIPOC and diaspora communities. With a background that includes serving on the State of Minnesota Emerging Entrepreneur Board and as Senior Economic Development Analyst at Hennepin County, Tashie has dedicated her career to building inclusive ecosystems for underserved entrepreneurs. Her ventures span product import/export, diaspora food delivery, and nonprofit initiatives, including supporting young women in Liberia and BIPOC business owners in Minnesota. She is the creator of Manbo Ginger Beer, winner of the 2019 DDEA Humanitarian Award, and a 2023 Better Business Bureau Spark Award finalist. Through it all, she champions her core belief: “Changing the Mindset for Prosperity.

Coldwell Banker Pete Guidera As the son of a shopping mall pioneer, Pete has been involved in commercial real estate his entire life, and professionally for 35 years. Pete joined Homart Development Co. and leased major malls in Chicago, the Twin Cities and Utah. Using that experience he worked for mall retailers and then started his own development company focusing on redevelopment projects. Pete’s retail expertise assisted developing department stores, leased more than 500,000 square feet of retail space, and bought many properties as well as land during his career. His creativity and persistence are strengths that have led to sealing the deal. An entrepreneurial spirit, Pete has had two start-up companies which led him back to real estate with Coldwell Banker Burnet – The Commercial Coalition Group. * Commercial Coalition Group
