  • Thursday, April 3rd from 5-7pm @ JK movement: Centering Fathers Talking Session on Fatherhood
    • Exploring on maternal and paternal impacts in a relationship. Fathers will take a deeper dive on the impacts of meeting the needs of their children, partner and as well as themselves. Connect with TC to register 612-500-7415/ [email protected] 
  • Wednesday, April 9 from 1:30-3:30pm @ Fairview Community Wellness Hub: Infant Safe Sleep Community Kick off
    • Join the Infant Safe Sleep Community Leadership Team and the Minnesota Department of Health to kick-off a series of conversations with African American and Native American communities in Minnesota to elevate community-driven solutions to eliminate sudden unexpected infant death by 2033. Register now.
  • Wednesday, April 16th @Fairview Community Wellness Hub: Aftershock screening with partners
    • Through this event co hosted with BECC and Conduit for Collaboration with Dr. Abiola where we hope to continue to raise awareness and promote action in relation to the maternal mortality epidemic that has plagued the U.S. for generations. In addition to promoting the national conversation around birth justice, this event will provide an opportunity to amplify the birth justice movement happening in our own backyard, and what those on the frontlines need to permanently tip the scales in favor of Native American and Black birthing people in Minnesota. Registration coming! 
  • Thursday, April 17th from 12-3pm and Wednesday, April 23rd from 5-8pm @ 90 W Plato: Work Sessions to become eligible for Medicaid doula reimbursement
    • Sessions led by Community Aware Birthworker (CAB) in partnership with BECC, BJC and AABC. Two sessions will be provided, attend one or both, they are free but registration is required. The sessions will cover; registering with MDH doula registry, MDHS and MN-ITS, MCOS and clearinghouses.   • April 22-May 29 Virtual Cohost Training; Moving Beyond Crisis Training of Trainers
    • African American Babies Coalition (AABC) is now recruiting experienced rural health care providers, home visitors, teachers, advocates, parents and trainers from communities of color and indigenous/tribal areas to participate in our upcoming virtual Moving Beyond Crisis Training. See more and registration.
